This compact apartment (44m2) had not been renovated since its construction in a small residential building in 1992. The layout is compact with no wasted space although a bit dark as North facing. The brief was to renovate and modernise the apartment to be used as a pied à terre when the owners are in Paris. The living space was extended by knocking down the wall between the kitchen and the living room creating a open and light space, with two French windows leading out onto the balcony instead of one. The bath was taken out and replaced by a walk-in shower in the bathroom and a new kitchen with breakfast bar was installed. The main living space is painted different colors by zone giving a funky modern look to the space with several fun items such as the mouse lamp by Seletti.
